Richard Jones' Log: Roundup turned 5 years old (a few months back)

Thu, 05 Oct 2006

While I was doing the 1.2.0 release of Roundup a couple of days ago, I updated the project's website. At the bottom of the page I note how long I've been working on the code. The edit I made has only just sunk in. How about that. 5 years.

Congratulations! I will go and eat a big piece of birthday cake... Thanks a lot for this great program!

Congratulations and thanks for all this time spent on (hopefully, hint, hint) the next bug tracker for Python :)

Well done Richard! I've had much joy from Roundup in both contributing to the project early on and deploying instances for a multitude of customers. Our most recent customer is even using it to nag his bank manager on the one hand and remind his housekeeper to put a glass of water next to his bed table every evening on the other ;-)

Surely its now time for a re-write?

Thanks all.

Andy: while the idea is definitely interesting, I've got other, bigger things on my plate.
