Mon, 12 Feb 2007

I found myself with a spare round tuit this morning so I fixed PyPI's search. Google is gone :)

Heh. Just added a search shortcut in my browser for cheeseshop & had a "wait, didn't this used to be google?" moment.

Neat, thanks.

Nice one, much better. What did you use?

Hi Richard,

Makes it much easier to use for this newbie, thanks.

One suggestion; would it be possible to get timestamps for packages listed either on result lists or packages themselves?

Cheers
Craig.

One more. :) I'm finding a few dead links and relocated projects. Link checking and a way of reporting them to submitters for revision would be useful.

The search just uses SQL and some basic weighting (preferring matches in name, then summary, then description).

All ideas for new features are good, especially when accompanied by code :)
