Richard Jones' Log: More Roundup wiki spam, ZWiki oddness

Thu, 24 Feb 2005

The Roundup wiki is using ZWiki, and when I went to undo the spam edit there was no record of the transaction. I've never packed the ZODB, so I'm quite flummoxed as to why there's no undo. After I'd fixed the page I could see my edit actions in the undo log*. Wierd.

Thank goodness for the Google cache, or the page would've been lost.

What version of Zope are you using?

I remember in the dim and distant past that undoing a record would remove it from the zodb, rather than adding a new "undo" transaction...

Nope, this is 2.7.3

It happened again overnight. No undo transactions for the edits done by the spammers. So now wiki editing is turned off.

Two pages reverted (poorly) from Google cache. One page lost forever (too hard to re-edit from the cache and not as important).

have you tried to add and undo a comment yourself?
